catfish Smokey broiled Catfish Recipe - Try this tasty dish with a smokey flavor. If you take your time and do it right, the fish will literally fall apart. Serve this at your next gathering, friends will ask for more.

Ingredients to make Smokey Broiled Catfish Recipe

6 skinned, pan dressed catfish
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp. melted fat or oil
1 tbsp.liquid smoke
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
lemon wedges

Directions to make Smokey Broiled Catfish Recipe

Step 1:Thaw frozen fish. Clean, wash and dry fish. Combine remaining ingredients except lemon wedges and mix thoroughly
Step 2:Brush inside of fish with sauce. Place fish on a well-greased broiler pan, brush with sauce. broil about 3 inches from source of heat for 4-6 minutes.
Step 3:Turn carefully and brush other side with sauce. Broil 4-6 minutes longer, basting occasionally, until fish flakes easily with a fork
Step 4:Serve with lemon wedges.

    I’m trying this with some catfish leftover from making Catfish Gumbo!
    We are drinking Pino Grigio with it.
    Or if it turns out really bad, maybe some Jack Daniels.
